Playing at Birr Golf Club

Local Rules

  1. Out of Bounds
    1. Outside any boundary fence or hedge surrounding the course.
    2. The Clubhouse surrounds, including the car park and road at the rear of the Clubhouse marked by white stakes.
    3. The old putting green at the rear of the 9th green.
  2. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24-20)
    1. All artificially surfaced roads and paths.
    2. Staked trees.
    3. Fixed seats, wooden steps, watering points, water tank, caddy-car shed (off the 10th fairway) and winter tee-boxes.
  3. Ground Under Repair (Rule 25)
    1. Tractor tyre marks on fairways only.
    2. Sunken or raised old hole-plugs and drainage holes on greens. (Move ball 6 inches either side of - not nearer the hole).
  4. Stones in bunkers
    1. Deemed to be movable obstructions; stone(s) impeding the stroke may be lifted.
