Bye-Laws
- Membership:
In the event of a lapsed membership - with the exception of illness or special circumstances - a person wishing to rejoin as a full member will be required to pay an Entrance Fee as decided by the Management Committee as follows:
Lapsed for one year
Half the current Entrance Fee
Lapsed for more than one year
Full current Entrance Fee
- Dress Code:
- On the Course:
- Singlets or sleeveless shirts are not permitted on the course.
- Only tailored shorts or Bermudas are acceptable.
- Tennis shorts or other sporting models are not permitted.
- Suitable footwear and socks must be worn.
- Trouser Legs should not be tucked into stockings.
- Tops to be worn at all times.
- In the Club House:
- Around the confines of the Club House neat dress is essential.
- If casual dress is to be worn, it should be neat and tidy.
- Golf shoes of any kind are not permitted in the Club House.
- Shoes must be worn in the Club House at all times.
- Use of mobile phones is prohibited.
- New Members:
In order to propose or second a new member to Birr Golf Club, a person must be a member of Birr Golf Club for at least a five year period.
- Introduction Night:
All new members shall be required to attend an "Introduction Night" at which a rule book will be given. New members will be addressed by an officer of the Club and advised of general Rules and Etiquette.
