DEVELOPMENT CLASSIC
The members turned out in force to support the Development Classic which took place over the Bank Holiday weekend. Captain Tom Rigney at the presentation on Monday night said he was extremely proud of huge turnout of members and was especially pleased to note that almost eighty teams took part in this fund raising event. He thanked especially all our sponsors including our major sponsors, Michael Horan, Golf Shop, Gary Daly Butcher Cloghan and John Fleury Insurances. He regretted that the hole in one for membership of the Springs Leisure and Wellness Centre, County Arms Hotel was not won this year. The Captain noted that all the surrounding clubs contributed prizes and entered teams. This was very satisfying to the organisers and he hoped that would return the favours when called upon. Lady Captain Mary Sullivan noted how smoothly the event was run. There were no hitches and thanked the for their catering on the 11th. She also thanked the restaurant and bar staff and the very efficient organising committee.

Bookies Prize. The Bookies Prize G.O.Y. will take place on Sunday, 9 August. Please put your names down for the draw which will take place on Wednesday, 5 August. Sheet available in the locker room.
