Management AGM
Tuesday next Dec. 2nd at 8.00 pm the AGM of the club take place. Members are asked to attend in force and make positive contributions for the progress and betterment of our club. The club developments will no doubt come up for discussion, with all members eager to enjoy the new course later in the spring. Voting will also take place to elect a new management committee with the ex officio officers.
Last week the Men’s AGM took place. Outgoing Captain Paddy O’Brien introduced Tom Rigney who will take on the duties of captain with Bernard Kennedy as vice captain. Michael Liffey introduced Tony McCormack as incoming president.
Hon. Sec. Michael Ashe gave a comprehensive account of the year’s happenings and called on members to familiarise themselves with the handicap system. Captain Paddy O’Brien thanked all for their help during the year. He noted especially the courtesy afforded to him as captain and was glad to see this longstanding tradition upheld by the members. He thanked especially all who managed and played on teams. It was gratifying to see two trophies on display after such a difficult year weatherwise. He wished the incoming committee every success during the year.
