Well done to the Tudenham Cup team in the semi final under managers President Michael Liffey and Tony McTague against Portarlington on Thursday. This was the most exciting match of the season with two matches being decided on the 19th where Michael Yates sank a 5 footer for a win. Not to be outdone Robbie Sheils sank a raker in Portarlington to see Birr into the final against Delvin or Castlewarden in Mullingar in September. Playing at home were Michael Yates/Jonathan Kelly and Seamas Breen/Albert Kelly. Away were Joe Slevin/Pat Madden, Robbie Sheils/KP Kelly and Tony McTague/Billy Donlon.
On Friday of this week the final of the Heineken Mixed takes place in Roscrea when Birr take on Templemore at 2.30.
