Busy Weekend
Last weekend was by far the busiest of the season so far with a large turnout for the Bennett and Dooley Cups. The Bennett went to last year’s Captain and Golfer of the Year Billy Donlon. He is certainly continuing his good form. Hubert Rigney collected the Dooley with 41 pts. Interestingly there were four others on the same score. Mother’s Day was celebrated in style with excellent fare provided by Cathal and his highly efficient staff. The ladies directed by Captain Colette had another of their party nights on Friday and by all accounts a splendid evening was had by all. Well done Colette and your Social Committee.

The club’s website (www.birrgolfclub.com) has become very popular with members and overseas readers, keeping them in touch with results, news, activities and social events. Golfers and societies can also book online at birrgolfclub@eircom.net
