The Glenns Trophy
Congratulations to the Birr Ladies who came through to claim the Glenns trophy from a field of thirty teams from across the country. This year’s competition had to be postponed due to bad weather but fortunately Wednesday proved much more favourable. The team consisting of Mona Collins, Kathleen Doorley, Aileen Watkins and Ann McIntyre won over Mullingar with 10 shots to spare.

Juniors please note that there is a Hallowe’en competition on Thurs. 1 November. Captains Simon and Niamh would like to see a big turnout for this, the last Junior competition of the year.
New Ground
Members are asked to respect the various notices regarding the newly seeded areas. All competitions now start on the 10th with the 5th and 6th omitted. The order of play is: 10,11,12,8,9,1 to 4, 7th (old Tee) and 13th to the finish. Members should also note that both Nenagh and Tullamore Golf Clubs have offered our players green fees at half the normal rates until our development is finished. Birr members are extremely grateful for such generous offers.
